Laguna Golf Phuket is located in northwest Phuket as part of the Laguna resort complex. The course is set in a flat area, meandering through and around ponds and lakes; water is in play on the first 11 holes, with water on a total of 15 holes. The landing areas for tee shots are reasonable, but there is a premium on accuracy off the tee and during subsequent shots. The fairways compound the difficulty of hitting accurate shots because they are undulating, creating unexpected stances and lies. Many of the green complexes are elevated, with shaved run-off areas or bunkers on the sides of the greens.
