Blue Canyon Country Club is located in the northwest corner of Phuket. The club has two courses — Lakes and Canyon — set on beautiful land that has been reclaimed from a mining operation. The property of the Lakes course is gently rolling, with a moderate elevation change from the lowest point to the highest point. The course layout uses the movement of the property — combined with the ever-present water — to create interesting golf holes. Although 17 of the 18 holes have water in play at some point on the hole, most holes provide players with a clear target away from the water; however, there are advantages to be gained for the player who goes closer to the water. The only exceptions to holes with a target away from the water are the par 3s: Three of the four holes are a forced carry over the water.
